Villa El Carmen is a private villa set in more than one hectare of olive groves in the countryside of San Vito dei Normanni, between Ostuni and the Adriatic coast. The house brings together a restored trullo and a traditional lamia with modern comforts: three bedrooms, three bathrooms, air conditioning and heating throughout, and fast Starlink WiFi.

It is made for families and friends who want one quiet base for their week in Puglia: mornings by the pool, afternoons on the beaches of Specchiolla and Torre Guaceto, evenings in the white town of Ostuni or around the outdoor table under the olive trees.

The trullo

Our restored trullo keeps its original dry-stone dome and niches, now a quiet corner to read and rest. Trulli are the most recognisable buildings of Puglia, and having one all to yourself is part of the experience.

The lamia, with its vaulted stone ceilings, is home to the kitchen and the dining room. Every room has been renovated with care, pairing traditional materials with modern comfort.

Fast, reliable Starlink WiFi covers the whole property, and two dedicated desks, one of them a height-adjustable standing desk, look out over the olive grove.

Ideal for longer stays in spring and early autumn, when Puglia is quieter and the weather is still warm.

Yes. The villa is in the countryside and buses are infrequent, so a car is the best way to reach beaches, towns and restaurants. We can help you arrange a rental car or a transfer.

Brindisi airport is about 24 minutes away. Bari airport, with more international flights, is about 1 hour 12 minutes away.

Is the pool private?

Yes. The 40 m² pool is for our guests only, with sun loungers and lighting for the evening.

Is the villa suitable for families with children?

Yes. Many of our guests are families with children: the house is spacious and the grounds are quiet and private.

Can I work remotely from the villa?

Yes. Starlink WiFi covers the whole property and there are two dedicated desks, one of them a standing desk.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is between 4 pm and 9 pm, and check-out is by 10 am.

When is the villa open, and what is the minimum stay?

The villa is open from April to early October. The minimum stay is 3 to 6 nights, depending on the season.

Are pets allowed?

We are sorry, but pets are not allowed.
